Southern Low Countries, c.1520-1530 AD. A stained glass window insert with central disc and outer quadrants in a lead-alloy frame; profile portrait of woman with dark cloth bonnet, fleshy face and neck, V-shaped neckline with ochre detail and ochre segmented outer border; two attachment loops. 152 grams, 14cm (5 1/2"). Ex central London gallery; previously with Christie's 15 December 1998, lot 68; Chateau d'Anet (seat of Diane of Poitiers), Eure-et-Loir, Northern France. [No Reserve]
