Description
Large, early, mahogany, brass bound lap desk with tooled leather writing surface and numerous secret drawers. Bought at an auction in 1983 and purported to have belonged to Major Calib Marlow Tayler, a Band Master in the Prince of Wales Regiment in the mid-1800's. Note - The interior dividers and secret compartment panels in need of restoration, although most parts seem to be included. PROVENANCE: The Englishman's Antiques, Addison, Texas. 9"H x 20.75"w x 11.5"D, Circa - Mid 19th C.
