Featured in this lot is this Yoruk Indian hand woven basket, circa 1950's. The basket shows a hand woven cross weave design with a red ochre natural dye to the outside wall of the basket. The basket shows a willow branch, willow, and other fiber woven design in very good condition and has a nice woven lip. The Yurok have traditionally inhabited the northwestern region of California. Today, many of the Yurok people still live on the Yurok reservation along the Klamath River. The condition of this basket is good, showing no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this Yoruk basket are 4 1/8" x 7 1/2" x 7 3/4".
