Featured in this lot is this hand carved Northern Plains Native American Indian Pipestone or catlinite pipe tomahawk, circa 1890-1930's. This piece was made for the tourist trade in the 1880-1920's. This has beautiful scrimshaw carvings across both the stem and tomahawk pipe bowl. The piece was hand made by a Minnesota Native American area tribe. The condition of this catlinite pipe is good, with no obvious signs of damage. The measurements of this pipe are 15 3/4" x 5 1/2" x 1".
