EARLY 20TH CENTURY A FOLK ART CHICKEN EGG DISPENSER

of oval form with a pink base, the front with an exit hold with a metal scrolled detailing, atop sits a hen made of wood, with a yellow beak, brown eyes and a red wattle and comb, the hen once lifted reveals the interior partial lined with floral paper, with a metal slide and metal bar that moves in and out allowing the release of the eggs; dimensions of hen: 54 x 33 cm (21 1/4 x 13 cm, dimensions including base: 46 x 49 cm (18 1/8 x 19 1/4 in.); height of base without hen: 12 cm (4 3/4 in.)

CONDITION
The dispenser appears in overall age-appropriate condition. Visible chips, scuffs and dents all resulting in scattered losses to the paint. Overall surface dust and grime visible to the naked eye. Losses of color to the hen, with heavy visible surface dust and grime.
