Item Details
Description
1920s kagamibuta (mirror lid) netsuke with plastic top and celluloid bowl imitating ivory. The top represents a dragon clutching Sacred Pearl in its paw. Excellent crisp work, overall in excellent condition, swinging metal loop on the back for the cord. Comes with original metal chain that connected it to a tobacco pouch. The metal connector fitting is worked with dragon in flight on one side and Mount Fuji and clouds on the other. Very good example of its type. Diameter 2 1/16 inches, metal parts length 4 1/2 inches.
