A GOTO SCHOOL TSUBA WITH DRAGON
Japan, 18th to 19th century, Edo period (1615-1868)
Of maru-gata shape with two hitsu, made from shakudo with a fine nanako ground, inlaid in gilt copper takazogan with a ferocious dragon and clouds, the reverse with further clouds.

WEIGHT 99.7 g
Condition: Good condition with minor surface wear and small dents and nicks, particularly to the rim.
Provenance: Old German private collection.
