The canvas is unlined and the work retains its original stretcher bars. Under UV light, there is fluorescence due to pigment as well as retouch. There is a light horizontal abrasion approximately 6in across the banana trees to the upper left with scattered retouch, and a vertical abrasion through the figure's forearm with pinpoints of retouch. The work may benefit from a gentle cleaning. No further condition issues to report.
