Pair of Vaudeville, Showgirls, singers, performers of the early 1900's, black & white photo prints. Created in the late 1980's - early 1990's. 8" X 10" each, printed on photo paper. Handwriting on each photo with descriptions. Anna Held N.Y.C. 1915 & Eva Tanquay N. Y. C. 1912. Anna Held was a Polish stage performer and singer on Broadway. While appearing in London, she had been spotted by impresario Florenz Ziegfeld, who brought her to America as his common-law wife. Eva Tanguay was a Canadian singer and entertainer who billed herself as "the girl who made vaudeville famous". She was known as "The Queen of Vaudeville" during the height of her popularity from the early 1900s until the early 1920s.
