Emperor Khai Dinh's Imperial Office Carved Jade Eight Elephants Globular Offering Box (From a Vietnamese Royal Family) - This magnificent piece of Imperial Vietnamese history is a hand carved Annamese jade offering box which according to our sellers was used in the office of Nguyen Emperor Khai Dinh. The box is of globular form and is elaborately carved with an Eight Elephants motif, and is finished with high relief dragons circling the lid. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to own a piece of Vietnamese history which truly belongs in a museum. This piece comes from the estate of a Vietnamese Royal Family (the family now lives in the United States, and wishes to remain private as they still have relatives living in Vietnam).
