Description
This mecate was made from the manes and tails of wild horses by Sam Greenly, a Native American living on the Owyhee Reservation in Idaho. It was given to a man named Ernie in Pleasant Valley, where it was eventually purchased by the writer of the tag in 1963. Rope is in overall good condition with some minor fraying present throughout. Comes with provenance paper. See photos.
