Europe, ca. 19th century CE. A pair of elegant bronze candlesticks, each with a solid, heavy base and a tiered columnar body. A wide wax pan sits at the top with a recessed cavity for the candle. The stems are cast separately from the bases and the two sections attach with a threaded rod. A lovely pair that certainly could be used for their intended purpose! Size: 3.5" W x 10.25" H (8.9 cm x 26 cm)
Provenance: private Los Angeles County, California, USA collection, acquired by descent from the owner's father, collection amassed between 1950 and 1990
