In Frederick Carder: Portrait of a Glassmaker by Paul V. Gardner at p. 23, the author says: Carder felt his Aurenes were so beautiful that they needed no additional decorations; only a few decorated Aurene pieces are known In the late 1920s, several different vase shapes were ornamented with either leaves and vine tailings.
