Exhibited as No. 35 in the Catalogue of an Exhibition on Sherlock Holmes held at Abbey House Baker Street London NW1 in 1951. No. 39 in a later exhibition in New York. Sheet: 10" x 9 7/8". Matting: 13" x 16".
Provenance: From the collection of Edgar W. Smith, founder of the The Baker Street Journal. With accompanying House of El Dieff, Inc catalogue: Sherlock Holmes and Sherlockiana, 1975. Item 54. Bought by consigner in 2014 at Weschler's.
