This is a wonderful "House Portrait".. It was done in 1928 by "A M Stenstrom" or Andrew Manuel Stenstrom.. It is signed and dated in the lower right corner, "A.M Stenstrom, 1928".. Stenstrom was from Minnesota and was known as a "Sky Pilot" in the late 19th Century.. A "Sky pilot" was a kind of Preacher that would visit the Logging Camps and attempt to save the souls of the loggers.. At some point he started painting and became a pretty confident artist.. Several of his pieces can be seen at the Minnesota Historical Society in St. Paul.. This painting is on canvas and measures 30" X 18".. The frame measures 34" X 22".. It is in excellent condition with no damage or repairs
