Pre-WWII Japanese Imperial Navy officer's dagger. The blade is polished steel, straight, single-edged, with a sharp point at the butt end. The heel is covered with traditional habaki. The handle is covered with white leather, wrapped in brass wire. The metal part of the handle decorated with a sakura flower and engraved leaves. The scabbard covered with leather, and the metal device has arrow-shaped slots and a figured cutout along the edge, the surfaces are decorated with a cast and engraved floral sakura ornament on a dotted engraved background.
