John Gorse (1945-2020) of Charleston, SC. A business entrepreneurs, private collectors. A retired as senior vice president for legal and regulatory affairs in 1981. After retirement he focused his efforts on revitalizing the local area and philanthropy. His entrepreneurial drive continually motivated him to privately invest in real estate ventures and many other businesses. In addition to his impressive business acumen, he was a man of artistic pursuits, collecting antiques, porcelains, oriental rugs, and artwork of many different genres.

Chinese Qing Dynasty Qianlong Yellow Glazed Motif Porcelain Vase. The porcelain potted in reward shape vase, thick, globular lower body, straight tall cylindrical neck, round mouth rim, raised on round foot base with slight concave. Hand painted ornamentations are rendered all in lemon yellow glazed base color on the exterior, which contrast against clean white color on the interior. This piece displays a subtle sheen, glazed smooth, brilliant with a moist appearance, the finishing meticulous.

The Under-base bears a reign mark, a six under glazed blue seal script characters reign mark. Made in The Years Qianlong Reign Period of The Great Qing Dynasty.

Over all in EXCELLENT condition.
