Description
Tuscany, late 16th-early 17th century, having two short drawers between three acanthus-carved brackets, each of which front a hidden drawer, the lower case with two cabinet doors between stop-fluted pilasters with Corinthian capitals, all flanked by engaged columns and raised on carved paw feet

Provenance: Ralph M. Coe, Cleveland, Ohio (purchased by James Hamilton of the architectural firm of Meade & Hamilton, Cleveland for house they built for him in 1923). The estate of William D. Wixom, former curator and Chairman of the Department of Medieval Art and The Cloisters at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, Pawling, NY

section of worm eaten areas on top approx. 6 in., other spotting worm marks, both right and left side panels with discoloration to finish, left most carved column panel with vertical 8" split and both outer carved column panels with patched holes, otherwise appears to be in good condition and is solid
