A large Chinese export silver ceremonial bowl
19th/early 20th century
The body repoussé decorated with flowering branches and bamboo, the scalloped and pierced rim with chased foliage design, the shoulders flanked by two dragon form handles, the bottom with marks reading SHANGHAI, LUEN-WO, and a mark in Chinese reading da ji.
17in (43.2cm) length across handles, total silver weight approximately 52 oz troy (1617.4gm)
