Description
Ca. 1000 AD. Viking. A bifacial bronze pendant with the body shaped as a pair of horse-heads in profile, a low-relief detailing, a loop between the shoulders, and six rings to the lower edge which originally had a chain and webbed-foot dangle attached. Good condition. These pendants were designed to make a jingling sound and catch light when hanging from a saddle or belt. For more information, see Golubeva, L.A. (1979).
