Parkins & Gotto (English, founded 1840s), circa 1880. Victorian era Gothic revival brass bound calamander or coromandel wood letter box, having a pointed arch form, the mounts with damascene type decoration. Marked to the interior. Approx. h. 6.25", w. 8.75", d. 4.5".

Condition

Wear to veneer with cracks and minor losses; several loose mounts with one partially broken; wear to interior with dividers and key not present; previous restorations; case is structurally sound.
