Description
English, late 18th / early 19th century. Sixteen pieces of Imari pattern porcelain tea and dessert service comprising of one teapot (h. 5.75"), one oval dish (w. 7.5"), one medium bowl (diam. 6"), one medium plate (diam. 7.25"), six saucers (diam. 5.25", six tea cups (h. 2.25"). Apparently unmarked. Provenance: From the Estate of Aimee Lacey Champion of Fairmount, Georgia.
Condition
Wear commensurate with age and use. Scattered gilt and enamel loss to all, small chip to rim on saucer, scattered fleabites to feet on saucers. Few with stable cracks to underside. Possible repair to teapot. Chip to rim of one tea cup. One cup with interior hairline and one with small stable crack to handle.
