Carved gilt walnut canape or settee in the Louis XVI neoclassical taste, having a crest with wreath and musical instruments, guilloche decorated frame, striped watered silk upholstery with loose seat cushion, and rising on tapered fluted legs. Unmarked. Approx. h. 35.5", w. 47", d. 19"; seat h. 14" (without cushion), 18" (with cushion).

Condition

No apparent restorations; frame is structurally sound.
