Ming/Qing dynastyBoshanlu, or mountain-shaped incense burners, appeared in a fully developed form during the Western Han; later ceramic variations were produced throughout the Six Dynasties. Raised on a stem foot case on the base with an lotus, the body is encircled by lotus, the cover is openwork in conical shape and cast as mountains.
