Our consignor represents a very large collection of morgan dollars. This is a different morgan consignor than our silver dollar rolls that some of you reading this may be familiar with. Here is what happened on this particular lot.Years ago, when NGC holders used look like these -- (5) five of these coins were consecutively graded identical by NGC as MS66. You can tell by looking at the serial numbers of these coins. On June 11, 2021 when we looked up these coins, we noticed that based on today's grading and pricing standards at NGC, if only one of these coins graded MS67, according to the 6/11/21 NGC price guide, it's value would've jumped to $3,100. The NGC price guide lists only $360 for an MS66 for this date.Morgan dollars are hot, they are going up fast!
