Description
18th c. Oak Cabinet, with base, possibly Flemish, with overhanging molded edge stepped cornice and intricately floral carved frieze above two six-panel glazed doors with lock escutcheon (with key) and two applied carved cherub heads, three interior shelves; below is a drop down door with lock escutcheon (with key) and carved central rosette, interior with six cubby holes above an open shelf; doors are flanked by reeded side columns topped with acanthus leaves and rosettes, and with carved panel below; sides with three molded edge panels, center panel with carved leaf form corner decoration, set on an X-stretcher base with turned legs, 82" high, 46 1/4" x 18". Shrinkage and losses, wear commensurate with age, scratches and dings.
