Description
Model of a "Paper Pulp Engine", tin paddle and tub with brass gears, steel axles, set in an oval open wood trough with rounded ends, having an engraved brass plaque that reads "Victor Francois, Mecanicien a l'ucine papier de Freteral,1874". Patent awarded to M.R. Bonju of Paris France, Patent No. 160,746, dated March 1, 1875, 4 1/4" x 12 1/2" x 8", with original tags. Very good condition, one bit of wooden bracket missing. Provenance: With O. Rundle Gilbert Collection of Garrison-on-Hudson, NY tags.
