Pair Chinese Emperor and Empress Plaques
PAIR OF CHINESE EMPEROR & EMPRESS WALL ART / ANCESTOR PLAQUES - Pair of large matching Chinese Emperor and Empress wall art plaques. Both figures are sitting on dragon throne wearing dragon robes reserved only for them. Each plaque is hand painted and hand carved.. Intricate detail and color. Very fine quality. These plaques will preserve family history and ensure good luck for the family. These carvings are mounted on an ebony painted wood background, have a decorative rosewood frame, and ornate brass hangers. The overall condition of the plaques is very good, however, there are a couple of marks/scuffs/scratches on each piece. I believe these damages occurred during moving/transport prior to an estate sale where they were acquired. These marks are hard to see unless you are looking from up close.
