English stoneware tobacco jar/ canister, designed by George Tinworth (1843-1913) for Royal Doulton, late 19th c., lid finial modeled as a mouse seated on a blue cushion and smoking a pipe, body with fruit branches in relief, Doulton Lambeth impressed mark underfoot, artist monogram RB for Rosina Brown, chips to foot, underside of lid, and tips of mouse's ears, approx 6 7/8"h, 4.5"diam, 1.5lbs **Provenance: a prominent Houston, Texas estate** Start Price: $150.00
