Description

AMERICAN PAINT-DECORATED FOLK ART FIGURAL CARVINGS, LOT OF THREE, comprising a large hourglass probably made for a fraternal organization such as the Odd Fellows, and a pair of miniature Victorian-style high-top shoes. Each retaining original bright polychrome-painted decoration. Late 19th/first quarter 20th century. Hourglass 8 1/8" H.
Very good overall condition with minor wear, surface scratches, and some flaking to paint; hourglass with moderate wear along edges of bases and a small chip to one edge.
Provenance: The collection of the late Theodore "Ted" and Alvina Breckel, Oley, PA and Winnetka, IL.

Condition
