A carved wooden marionette/ mask of an Antelope with long arched back spiral horns, and long snout with articulated lower jaw. The mask was painted yellow with black and red accents, and the remains of what was once a larger costume and attachments are still visible. Bamana or Bozo peoples, Mali, Africa. Provenance: Dr. Peter & Sue Rosen collection, New York, Ex Dr. Brian Healy estate, New York. Size: 26'' x 26'' x 5'' (66 x 66 x 13 cm); Height on stand: 33" (84 cm).Stand Included.
