Description
Circa 1830, Lincoln County, North Carolina. School of Daniel Seagle. Very nicely formed vessel having a flared spout tapering upwards attached to a nicely pulled and applied handle terminating in a thumb print above three incised lines at upper shoulder above very ovoid body. The jug having a brilliant glaze run at front and back of body. The piece has a hairline at mid body front backside half way to front side. Otherwise good overall condition. No restoration detected as found condition. H11 3/4" Recently discovered in a central North Carolina estate.
