A South German sword, Bronze Age, circa 1400 - 1300 B.C. Bronze sword ritually broken into three parts. Oval hilt in cross-section with remnants of the decoration of encircling bands below the pommel plate and in the centre of the hilt. Two rivets in the area of the hilt. Blade ritually broken into three parts in the front area (tip missing). Face professionally cleaned and with a beautiful patina. Back with concretions. Total length 58 cm. Provenance: Old South German family collection.Condition: II -
