(Folio) 37x23 cm (14½x9"), original full reverse calf, red morocco spine labels, leather ties. No. 273 of 1000 copies.
Handsomely produced photographic facsimile of the Shakespeare First Folio, with an introduction by Sidney Lee, signed by Lee at the limitation statement, as issued. The Census of Extant Copies, noted in the title, was issued separately owing to "reasons of space," and is here present, together with the further "Notes & Additions to the Census of Copies of the Shakespeare First Folio," issued in wrappers in 1906.
Condition
The facsimile with slight wear at corners and spine ends, leather ties broken, fine condition otherwise; the Census lacking its fragile paper wrapper.
