DOMINIQUE ANGINOT. Forest Trees, 1975. 8.8x7" gelatin silver print on 11.2x8.4" paper. Signed and dated in pencil on print recto: Dominique Anginot / 1976.

Modern and mysterious; trees have been a serious subject of photographers from Fox Talbot to Ansel Adams. They show us the life cycle and the emotions of natural life.

Dominque Anginot (born 1949) got his master's in photography after attending university at Arts et Metiers Vevey, Switzerland from 1969-1972. He then opened his photography and film studio in Paris in 1979. He opened Lux Modernis in 1981.

His work is in the collections of the Center for Creative Photography and the Georges Pompidou Center (the French National Museum of Modern Art). His work has appeared in Photo Zoom. He exhibited at the Centre Georges Pompidou, the NYC French Cultural Services, and the Photographers' Gallery (London).
