Inscribed in ink on mount recto: Nam-Dink: Examen du Lettres / Ministres de la Cour de hue / Proclamation des Resultats / I'inscription de la planchette signifie Edit-Royal; inscribed in ink: Le Ministre du Rito [?]. Inscribed in pencil on mount verso: Philippe-Jacques Potteau / Annamite Ambassadors Paris 1863.
