Description
This vase is being offered from my personal collection - I believe it's one of the nicest vases of the Brilliant Period. It was cut by Meriden in their Lapidary Diamond/Rose Diamond design. Gorgeous, accurate hobstars adorn the piece surrounded with deep mitered circles. The center of each of these hobstars is fit with a rose-diamond center - an extremely difficult and rare motif. The largest hobstar has a staggering 48-pointsThe rest of the vase is covered with flat hexad and the neck and rim are stair cut and scalloped. The base of the vase has a 34 point hobstar.
Condition
The vase is in excellent condition on the best quality blank. It measures 11 3/4" tall and 5 3/4" wide. There are some tiny flecks on the interior of the hobstar, but it is otherwise perfect.
