Description
The Strand Magazine was a British magazine published monthly in London by George Newnes and was composed of short fiction stories and articles of general interest. It contained many Sherlock Holmes Stories, and that's what you'll find here. Volume I contains "The Voice of Science" by Arthur Conan Doyle and Volume II begins "The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes", which features "Scandal in Bohemia" with Irene Adler, Sherlock Holmes' love interest. Volumes XXII and XXIII contain the complete first serialized editions of "The Hound of Baskervilles", and there are many other Sherlock Holmes stories scattered throughout. Twenty-four volumes are bound in green decorated cloth and three are bound in 3/4 leather with marbleized covers, edges, and end papers. The three leather-bound copies show very light wear and the green volumes display wear. The books measure about 9 3/4 x 6 7/8 in. wide, and it is hard to find these books with stories by Arthur Conan Doyle. Please note that all sales are final. No refunds will be given under any circumstances.
