This vase is also marked with the number 3 in a triangle on the bottom, which corresponds to item 3 in Stanley G. Burt's 2,292 Pieces of Early Rookwood in the Cincinnati Art Museum in 1916 for pieces from 1883. Brennan is credited by Herbert Peck as the originator of the RP logo and several examples are noted in Peck's The Second Book of Rookwood Pottery, Herbert Peck, 1985, p. 31

Condition
Base chips. Glaze blisters and several areas of burst on the body, revealing the clay body.
