Three hand painted folkart child's slate boards, late 19th century. The first with painted black wooden frame and the front slate decorated with a winter landscape depicting an arched stone bridge over stream, and the reverse side lightly painted with a still life of flowers - very good condition - 5 1/4" x 7 1/4"; the second, with a dark red painted frame and the slate decorated with a gloomy winter landscape with trees and tree trunks - very good condition - 6 3/8" x 8 3/8"; and the third, with a gold painted wooden frame and the slate decorated with a winter landscape scene depicting farmhouse and barn - some staining, else good condition - the reverse side used as a weekly calendar titled "Engagements" over the days of the week - good condition - 6 5/8" x 8 5/8". Note that glitter has been added to all 3 landscapes paintings.
