Description
A grouping of 6 grain painted frames, probably mid 20th century to simulate tiger maple, one missing part of the gold inset, others with minor edge wear & tiny chips, but overall very good condition. The largest frame measures in totality 33" x 25 3/4", currently holding a 20th century print entitled Good Old Wintertime by John Wheat - good condition. Other prints within frames including two 18th century botany hand colored prints with plate marks with publications dates 1792 and 1789, a seascape after F. Cozzens with cardboard label attached to reverse that reads "Plate XVII / A Breezy Day Outside / ......Sarpho Palmer / By Frederic S. Cozzens / illegible / copyright 18xx (illegible)" - late 19th century, large folio reproduction Audubon bird print, and a silkscreen titled "Early 19th Century Tradesman" published by "Connecticut WPA Visual Education".
