A GEORGE III PAINTED SATINWOOD AND MAPLE SIDE TABLE, POSSIBLY AMERICAN FEDERAL, CIRCA 1800, of square form and the top centering a possibly later painted circular reserve depicting the seated in classical robes holding her stylus above a long scroll in her lap and a lyre near her feet, while conversing with the kneeling scantily robed Eros child holding his bow and instructing her amidst large boulders, before a distant landscape beneath white puffy clouds and blue skies, within conforming leaf tip detailed trim and a laurel leaf ring partitioned by paterae suspending bow ribbon tied ceremonial blades alternating musical trophies, enclosed by a square form border of green husk and pearl decorated bands with white floret spacers, above a frieze centering bow ribbon tied oval reserves painted with classical dancing muses and flanked by green husk swags, cornered by breakfront panels of anthemion and husk decoration over flame mahogany banding and tapering squared legs with similar details.
