Description
A GROUP OF SIX PAIRS OF AMERICAN/EUROPEAN/AFRICAN ANTLER WALL TROPHIES, MID 20TH CENTURY, each mounted on a carved wood backplate and including two pairs of moose antlers, tallest height: 16"; three pairs of small 2/3 point antlers on partial skulls mounted on a circular, oval, or shield backplate, tallest height: 7"; a pair of small Gemsbok horns on a bullion thread and yellow silk trimmed burnt orange cord velvet-covered dome, mounted on a walnut shield form backplate, height: 11 1/2". Provenance: Private Collection, Pearland, Texas.
Condition
Each in good condition with expected surface buildup throughout, and natural wear on tips as well as expected growth flaws throughout.The pair of spike antlers on an oval backplate with leafy pinecones flanking a shield inscribed "Hartmanice / 19 / 55 / VIII."?
