Description
A PAIR OF BULL HORNS MOUNTED WITH TIGER'S EYE ON SILVERED BRASS STANDS, EARLY/MID 20TH CENTURY, white and brown horns fitted with brass tips opposed at each end with silvered pierced gothic collar centering cabochon oval polished tiger's eyes, the horn fitted with smooth brass mountings with domed rivets, raised on an onion form arm on a tapered socle to a stepped bell form circular foot on oak plinths. Height: 14 1/2" Width: 15" Depth: 11 1/2" Provenance: Personal Collection of Roy H. Van Horn, Houston, Texas.
Condition
Some expected surface wear to organic material, dust, patina, surface scratches, the pierced gallery surrounding the ends has bends, glue, old solder, and apparent repairs and damages, overall in good condition, wear commensurate with age and use.
