Japanese, 19-20th C, large porcelain plate, decorated with lavishly dressed figures standing and seating at a balcony, rim decorated with shaped panels of ruyi motifs and foliage scrolls in gilt, reserved on a white and iron red ground. Japanese porcelain pot, molded with lotus leaves and flower plants with bird perched on twig on a cream white crackled ground, handle decorated with motifs and foliage scrolls, rim in gilt three shaped edge plates, decorated with figures river and tress landscape scenery and geometric patterns, two plates applied in gilt D: 13.6"(34.7cm) largest plate H: 10.1"(25.7cm) D: 7.7"(19.5cm) pot Provenance: Estate Sale of Dr. Solomon Stone, a clinical psychologist and professor at Brooklyn College.Condition: all in excellent condition free from damage
