Fine and rare 18th century soup ladle, Otto Paul de Parisen, New York City, NY, circa 1780, having an elaborate raised and incised semi-circular bowl drop and a thick low-angled handle with a wide, downturned rounded end. Expertly engraved sprigged script monogram ''WAT''. Marked twice ''OP'' in rectangular cartouche back of lower handle. 14-3/8''l. Total approximate weight 7.7 troy oz.
