Harumitsu Utagawa (Japanese, active 2nd Quarter to 3rd Quarter 20th Century) pair of ink and color paintings on silk depicting traditional landscape scenes. The first is signed Hieroglyphs by the artist and read seal, Harumitsu, lower right. The second is signed Hieroglyphs by the artist and read seal, Harumitsu, lower left. Framed. The auction white label showing the author and title of the painting, on the back. The label with the printed inscription, This painting was painted by Mr. Harumitsu Utagawa, who is the only living of 7th descendant of Toyokuni Utagawa, the worldwide famous artist of ancient times, ranking with Hiroshige, Hokusai & Utamaro, on verso.
Dimensions: Frame size: 24 x 18 3/4 in. Picture size: 16 x 10 7/8 in.

Overall condition good, has expected signs of wear on the frame and few stains on the silk.
