Edward Augustus Brackett (American, 1818-1908) one of Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and one of William Cullen Bryant. Together with a pair of associated ebonized and gilt fluted Doric style pedestals. Repairs to busts. Busts: 19"h x 10-1/4"w x 6-1/4"d Pedestals: 43"h x 8-3/4"dia. and 14-3/4"sq. Provenance: The busts were exhibited at the Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts in 1871. From the Collection of William Milne Grinnell of New York.
