A SMALL PORCELAIN POT WITH LADIES, SERVANTS AND BOYS
China, Qing dynasty (1644-1912), 19th century. Porcelain and enamel colors. Very fine painting on the round body displaying a highly curved handle and curved spout designed all around with a richly figurative scene. Also a scaly, horned, four-legged qilin with scaly body and bushy tail. The qilin counts among the "Four Wonder Animals" and is a symbol of peace and blessing of children. A servant swings a tall honorary canopy. Domed lid and knob.
Condition: Very good condition.
