Roman, Imperial, ca. 1st to 4th century CE. Two fascinating forged-iron scythes. One with a petite tapered tang and slender crescent-shaped body. The other exhibits a slightly thicker and longer tapered tang and less curved body. Both tips of these fine tools are still remarkably sharp! Size of largest: 7" W x 14" H (17.8 cm x 35.6 cm)
